Sunday, December 14th is the third Sunday in Advent.

We light the candle of joy, and begin singing more of the festive songs associated with this time of year.

“Advent” means coming. This usually makes us think about Jesus’ first coming at Christmas. Historically, it is also meant to remind us about Jesus’ second coming. With that in mind Pastor Ruttan will teach about the “parable of the ten virgins” from Matthew 25:1-13. What does the oil represent, and how are we supposed to prepare ourselves for the arrival of the Bridegroom?

We will pray, sing, learn and serve for the glory of God.

There will be nursery care, Sunday School (JK to high school), fellowship time and prayer ministries.

There will also be a short celebration of Communion (The Lord’s Supper) after the service in the sanctuary for those who missed last week or those who want to partake again.

“Come, Lord Jesus…” Let’s honour God this Advent
