Sensationalism. We tend to love eye-popping things that capture our attention, from pop star wardrobe malfunctions to gory news stories. In this cultural climate “ordinary” is the enemy. But what if sensationalism was actually a deliberate distraction?
As we start a new year, this sermon explores Colossians 3:1-17 and the idea that “ordinary is powerful.” God has ordained certain practices which, although not sensational from the world’s vantage point, do at least three things in your life. They provide internal strength, protection against darkness, and increased wisdom.
