Westminster received a routine visitation from a team from the Barrie Presbytery earlier this year. This is normal procedure and is like a ‘wellness check’ for a congregation.
The visit had been scheduled for November 2025, but got delayed to May 2026. A report was prepared and was sent to our session and the presbytery for approval after the summer.
It was positive, but the presbytery team decided to make a small change. It therefore needed to get re-approval at the presbytery level.
Due to an administrative error it was not addressed at the October meeting, and is now scheduled for November. The team apologized to Westminster for the delay.
In short, the report is positive and when it is finally approved we will make it available to the congregation.
