Some of you may have noticed a new tree in the back lot. It was planted in memory of long-time member (and former elder) Glen McArthur. A proposal came from his family last year and it was approved by our elders. A plaque reads: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might” (Daniel 2:20). Right after Sunday’s service, anyone who would like may join the pastor who will walk down to the tree and say a prayer of thanksgiving and blessing. May it provide shade, rest and joy for years to come.
