Jesus is coming back. This event is sometimes called the “second coming.” He will come as Judge and Saviour, and will usher in the new heavens and the new earth. Even though we don’t know the timing, we know it’s getting closer day-by-day.
What are we supposed to be doing while we wait? Fixating on finding the exact date and location or running for the hills? Um, no.
This sermon unpacks Matthew 25:1-13, the parable of the ten virgins. Jesus told this story to focus his followers on what they should be doing while they wait for the return of their King. It’s just as relevant in the 21st century as it was in the 1st.
What if the last day was any day? How might that change your life? What do you want to be doing when the King appears at your door? Watch.
