A Sunday for Busby, Elders and New Members

 

On Sunday, November 27th, we gather to worship the Living God.

As we do so we also have some special things happening that morning.

1. We invite everyone to bring a bag lunch with a sandwich (of any kind, although salmon isn't that popular!), snack and drink. Right after the service the outreach van for the Busby Centre will pick up the lunches and deliver them. The Outreach Van will hand out the lunches in the evening to the working poor, individuals that cannot make it to the soup kitchen or other food services and families that are need of emergency food items.  We also hand the lunches out to those that are living in the outdoors.  The Outreach Van serves anywhere between 20 – 47 people a night!

2. Our service will also raise awareness about eldership in the church, and give honour to those elders. A flyer will be provided better educating people about eldership and the importance of this ministry in the church.

3. We will also welcome some new folks into official membership here at the church. Indeed, it is a day of celebration!
