Holy Week and Easter at Westminster, 2011

 

Easter is the central celebration of the Christian faith. It is when we celebrate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.

At Westminster there are 5 services during Holy Week (Sunday to Sunday). Everyone is welcome; just come as you are and worship our amazing God.

Palm Sunday: Sunday, April 17th, 2011, 10am. We also welcome our newest members.

Maundy Thursday: Thursday, April 21st, 2011, 7pm. We reflect on Jesus' meal with his disciples before being handed over to death. We share the Sacrament of Holy Communion. (No Sunday School, but NURSERY care is available.)

Good Friday: Friday, April 22nd, 2011, 10am. Together, we pause on the day Jesus died to remember his sacrifice, and to meditate on his cross. (No Sunday School, but NURSERY care is available.)

Easter Sunday: Sunrise service: Sunday, April 24th, 2011, 8am. Very informally, we gather on the front lawn at the church for a guitar-led celebration of the resurrection of Christ. This will be a short 25 minute service. (No Sunday School or Nursery Care.)

Easter Morning Continental Breakfast: Sunday, April 24th, 2011, 8:30am. We gather in the Fellowship Hall for some nourishment and warmth!

EASTER SUNDAY: MAIN EASTER SERVICE: Sunday, April 24th, 2011, 10am. We come together in the sanctuary to triumphantly celebrate the central event that changes the world--the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! (Sunday School and Nursery Care are available.)
